21.09.2011. REPUBLIC SQUARE IN YEREVAN AT ARMENIA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY
My main interest was in 3D art to create an optical illusion on the architectural level of space by contrasting optical illusions.
Why Optical Art was so important for me in the area of hyper-realistic animation?! Once dismissed as simply optical illusions, it is now understood that Op Art.
Its roots in the Bauhaus school borrow from constructivism. The geometrical elements play tricks on the eyes and in Video mapping many other senses, keep the glaze of the bystander longer. It is an intense and excessive stimulation to the brain.
An import an Op artist from history is Victor Vasarely (1908-1997) and one of my idols Laszlo Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946) lecturer at the Bauhaus who gave lessons to his students and probably created the first Op Art piece. As a lecturer at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, I loved to experiment with such elements.
